Fourty Springs is located on the road 3km inside from the entrance and can be reached by foot. The springs itself are unspectacular. We will take you over Lake Chamo where you can see crocodiles (at a place called crocodile market) and various birds.Visit the Dorze Villages in the hills to the east.

Awasa (also spelled Awassa or Hawassa) is a city in Ethiopia, on the shores of Lake Awasa in the Great Rift Valley. Located 270 km south of Addis Ababa. Possible to look a various of birds and , hippos and fish market(Asa Gebeya).

Day 1 :

Arbaminch

Drive to Arbaminch from Addis Ababa via Butajira. On the way you will visit the archeological sites of Tiya (ancient stele field and UNESCO World Heritage Site), Adadi Maryam (a rock-hewn church similar to those in Lalibela) . Overnight at hotel, lodge,resort.

Day 2 :

Arbaminch

Morning a boat trip on Lake Chamo to see the crocodiles, hippos & aquatic bird species. The northern shores of Lake Chamo are famous for its large crocodiles, which can be seen in great numbers lounging in the heat. The lake is about 32km long and provides a lush wetland habitat for many species of flora and fauna.Afternoon drive 14kms northwest of Arba Minch to Guge Mountains to visit the Dorze and Chencha villages. Once warriors, the Dorze have now turned to farming and weaving to earn a living. They speak an Omotic tongue and the Dorze name is synonymous with the best woven cotton cloth. The "elephant huts" of the Dorze are unique and worth seeing. Also, the Dorze beehive-shaped houses are constructed entirely of organic material and has its own small garden surrounded by beds of spices, cabbage and tobacco. Some of Ethiopia’s best woven cottons come from Chencha, which is located Dorze Village. Men weave and women spin.Overnight at hotel, lodge, Resort.

Day 3 :

Arbaminch-Awassa

After breakfast drive to Awassa. On the way we will visit villages. Afternoon visit Awasasa fikir hayik with stunning view of sun set and we will have a possibilities to see pelicans.. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 :

Awassa-Langano

Early in the morning, visit the local fish market on the shores of Lake Awassa (Amora gedel). Afternoon drive to langano and have a recreation time .Overnight at hotel or resort.

Day 5 :

Langano to Addis Ababa

In the morning after breakfast we drive to Abijata and Shala National park . We will have the possibility of visiting the Ostrich farm at Abijata Shala National Park stunning view of lake Abijata and Shala. Having lunch at Ziway.In the afternoon, drive to Addis Ababa.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
